First Coast YMCA

Various Dates in March by County | 6:30am – 6pm

It’s time to shake off the winter blues and put some spring in your step. At the Y’s Spring Break Day Camp, children have the chance to participate in themed games, stir up their imagination, get plenty of exercise, and make new friends. They will have fun just being a kid in a safe and enriching environment. Plus, you can sign up for any number of days. Both members and non-members are welcome to attend, so invite your friends! For more information or to register your child, stop by the Welcome Center at your local Y.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

March 19-23 | 9am – 4pm

We can travel around the world to see different species of animals and plants, but we haven’t yet found a way to travel back in time to see the dinosaurs. Luckily, here at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, the dinosaurs are coming to see us, and kids in grades K-5th have the opportunity to spend their spring break learning all about these fascinating prehistoric creatures. Enjoy a week of dino-related fun and games while meeting some of the dinosaurs’ modern relatives and experiencing our Dinosauria exhibit at no extra charge! Camp runs from 9:00-4:00 each day, with optional extended care available from 7:45-8:45 and 4:15-5:15.

MOSH | Museum of Science and History

March 19-24 | 9am. to 3pm

The Art of Science for K-2nd Grades

What do Picasso and Newton have in common? Brilliant creativity! MOSH campers will use their creativity and imaginations to explore scientific ways to make art. Campers will make their own original artworks using various scientific processes, learning about science as well as awakening inspiration.

The Science of Art for 3rd-5th Grades

From Jackson Pollock to Theo Jansen, artists have used science to bring their creations to life for centuries! MOSH campers will learn how famous artists use different kinds of science in their art while using science to make creations of their own.

Cost: $164 for MOSH Members / $205 for Non-Members


Jax Surf & Paddle

March 19-23, March 26-30, April 2-6 | Ages 6 – 16 (Must be able to swim)

Campers will break into groups depending on age and skill. After completing this five-day surf camp your child will have learned how to have fun surfing safely, paddle, navigate in the surf, and, of course, stand up! Each child will get special individual training depending on their needs. Everyone will get a group photo and other photography services will be available upon request. Topgolf Jacksonville Spring Break Academy

March 19-21

The Topgolf Kids Spring Academy is three days of non-stop entertainment and learning that kids will love. This program includes all the components that make up the great game of golf. From chipping, putting and taking full swings, to rules and etiquette, kids will learn everything they need to know to improve their game. Each Academy is designed and taught by our professional golf instructors from Topgolf U in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Spring Academy is staffed with a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure each Junior Golfer receives in-depth, hands-on attention while he or she develops a winning golf swing. MOCA Jacksonville

March 16, 19-23

MOCA Jacksonville provides half-day and full-day sessions for kindergarten through fifth-grade students during spring break. Experienced art educators teach a variety of media and skills while providing the contemporary art history context for each project. Cost: $25/$50


Bach to Rock

March 19-23, March 26-30 | Ages 4 and Up

Bach to Tock offers Rock Band (Ages 7+), Glee Club (Ages 7+), Rock City World Tour (Preschool – 1st Grade), Record a Studio Demo (Ages 7+) and Recording Arts: Pro Tools & Production (Ages 10+).


St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park

March 26-30 | 9am-4pm | Open to students entering 1st grade through 6th

Walk, Waddle or swim to this feathery, fun-filled camp! Conduct feather and beak experiments, make bird feeders and spot native birds in our Florida Rookery as we become “bird brainiacs.”


Jewish Community Alliance J-Cation Days

March 19-23 | Grades K-12

JCA Camp Directors and camp counselors work to ensure a positive, safe and fun environment for children. Our mature and professional counselors contribute their experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm to provide an unforgettable camp experience for children and families. The JCA provides a wide range of engaging activities to enrich your child’s summer experience! From arts to music to unique Israeli programs, from carnivals to concerts to science and sports, JCA Camp offers more than just a place to spend summer days. It is a place for your child to learn and grow. With indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, a full court gymnasium, an indoor running track, art studios, a theatre auditorium, dance and aerobic studios and outdoor playgrounds, your child has access to all that the JCA has to offer including 100,000 air-conditioned square feet.


Lego Robotics Camp at Shiva Robotics

March 19 – 23 | 9am -3pm (Extended care also available ) | Ages 4-15

Shiva Robotics Academy is an educational institution that teaches kids about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through various hands-on activities. Kids will enjoy 5 days of lego themed activities! Full session: $375 (5 days), or $100 per full day, $60 half days.


Theatre Jacksonville

March 19-23 and/or March 26-30 | Grades 2-12

Theatre Jacksonville’s *Make Believe* Spring Break Camps offer great fun for students on their annual Spring Break holiday from school. During each of our 1-week sessions, our campers will get a chance to explore, be challenged, create, and express themselves in a fun and safe learning environment. Monday – Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm.


KidsPark (Avondale or Southside)

Daily | Ages 2-12

School is out… KidsPark is in! Trivia, games, challenges and crafts. Special Holiday-themed activities planned, too! No reservations necessary; hourly or full day care available. Monday-Thursday 730am-10pm, Friday 730am-Midnight.


Happy Acres Ranch

March 19-23 | Ages 3-5 and K-13

Preschool: Do you have a 3, 4 or 5 years old that is looking for an authentic and exciting camp experience this summer? Then, Happy Acres Ranch is the place for them! Our preschool camp is run much like our School Age Summer Camp and has a full daily schedule of activities. They will swim for 45 minutes every day in our beautiful lake (25 minutes of games and 20 minutes of free play) and have Pony Rides once a week. The Preschool Camp is run by our most fun teachers who love getting down and dirty with the kids. Each week will have a unique theme with new highlighted activities each day. Our entire camp, ages 3-13 years, has the same themed calendar, but the activities are tailored to the age of the group.

School Aged: Join in for Spring Break Camp at Happy Acres! Spring Break camp is a perfect way to spend your vacation from school or preview Summer Camp for a week if you are thinking about coming to camp this summer. We accept all children in kindergarten through 13 years old.

Typical activities including all the traditional activities of our Summer Camp, including football, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, horseback riding, gardening, wood working, building, nature, shuffleboard, sidewalk games, scooters, scavenger hunts, capture the flag and many more. Cost: $165 plus a $50 registration for the 1st child and $25 for each additional child in each family. ($170 for preschool) Only $40 per day for all the same activities.


Gyminators

March 19-23 | 9am-3pm (Extended care also available) | Ages: 4 and Up

Sign up your children for weekly spring break fun! All are invited to learn & improve their gymnastics skills in a safe environment with professional safety trained Instructors. Each child is guaranteed to have a full day of fun by rotating every ½ hour to each of the different events. Activities include: Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, Trampoline, Dance, Cheer, Relays, Crafts, Games and watch Olympic gymnastics videos. All kids will be put into groups according to their age and skill level.


Jacksonville Humane Society

March 19-23 | 9am-4pm | Grades K-5

Calling all Spring Breakers in grades K-5! Join JHS for a Spring Break filled with animals and learning how to become the best friend a cat or dog could have! Campers will learn different ways to interact with pets in their home and in the community, and explore a variety of jobs that help animals. Campers will be separated into 2 groups: Grades K-2 and 3-5. Extended care is available for an additional cost.


KidzArt Studio

March 20-26 | 9am- 1pm | Ages 5-10

This camp is sure to delight animal lovers and our little “future Veterinarians”! Join us for a fun-filled week at the KidzArt Studio as we combine KidzArt and Club Scientific lessons to learn about animals. We’ll learn about owls, dogs, cats, pigs, and more as we complete multiple drawings, an acrylic painting, shrinky dink crafts, and more! In addition to our art lessons, we will complete some science-themed activities like: making homemade dog treats, owl pellet dissection, basic first aid, and more! *Not recommended for campers with allergies to dogs – Camp Director will bring her Boston Terrier to one day of camp*


Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra

March 26-30 |9:00am – 2:00pm | Ages 9 – 14

Spend the day or the entire holiday break creating original artwork with our talented arts instructors. Select your child’s age group below to see the offerings for each day, students are welcome to return multiple times during a break to enjoy a variety of different arts projects. Please read our Program Policies before registering. Drop-off is from 8:50-9: 00 am and Pick-up is from 1:50-2: 00 pm, we do not offer extended days. Student artists need to pack a NUT-FREE lunch and dress for mess with closed-toe shoes! A Snack will be provided (those with food allergies or dietary restrictions are recommended to pack their own NUT-FREE snacks.)

Concerned about your kids spending their Spring Break week in front of the TV? Let them come to TNT where they can spend their week having a ton of fun in an exciting, active camp environment. You child will spend the week doing gymnastics, crafts, games, challenging fitness skills, and (most importantly) having fun!


Champions Gymnastics

March 19-23 | 9am-3pm | Ages: 4-14

Champions provides the perfect solution for families seeking a stimulating and nurturing environment for their children during holiday break. Champions camps are filled with exciting activities including gymnastics, relay games, rock climbing wall, arts and crafts, foam pit, bounce house and more! Their instructors ensure every camper has the most fun and safe experience possible and plenty of opportunities to make friends. Campers will have the opportunity to grow their flexibility, strength, fitness, and character while learning gymnastics skills on floor, bars, beam, vault and more.


The Playgarden

Come enjoy a wonderful Spring.  This a time for exploratory celebration!  We’ll enjoy fun, spring-themed crafts, kite flying and sand castle building at the beach.  We will have a variety of healthy snacks that your child helps prepare.


The Little Gym of Orange Park

Spring Break | Ages 3-12

Day camp for kids at The Little Gym of Orange Park is as great as youʼd imagine! Held during vacation times when schoolʼs not in session, our Fleming Island seasonal camps combine physical activity, gymnastics, and games with arts, crafts, and special LEGO® DUPLO® and LEGO® Juniors building activities for giggle-filled relief from the winter doldrums.


Pump it Up

March 19-23 | 9am–3pm

Ages 4 – 12. Includes bouncing, craft/ art, snacks, lunch, organized games and loads of fun!

Cost: Day Camp – $40 (1st Child) $35 (Siblings) and Week Camp – $160 (1st Child) $140 (Siblings), Early morning drop off (with prior notification) 8am – 9am, $10, Late pick up 3pm – 4:30pm, $15 (Both Early and Late, $20)

Vicky Lane
Vicky Lane is the co-owner and co-founder of Jacksonville Mom (formerly Jax Moms Blog). Since 2012, she has been overseeing the content and technical side of Jacksonville Mom. In this role, she manages over 30 writers and works closely with the managing editor to provide the most relevant content for the Jacksonville parenting community. In her previous career, Vicky obtained her Masters in Education and served as University Registrar at the University of North Florida. Wife to adoring husband John, her love for all things “Mom” began in 2010 when their son Brendan was born. Vicky chose to put her full-time career in higher education on hold to spend time with her new baby, giving her a new respect for motherhood and parenting. In June 2012, John and Vicky welcomed sweet Audrey to the family. Vicky has created an amazing circle of Moms who are continuously seeking new ways to enrich their children’s lives in and around Jacksonville.
