Duval County Public Schools will host a variety of summer programs this summer for students in grades Pre-K through 12 including: 3rd Grade Reading Recovery Program, 8th and 12th Grade Retake Program, 6th Grade STEM Summer Enrichment Program, 6th Grade Summer Bridge ELA Program, Summer Voluntary Kindergarten, ESOL Summer Maintenance Program, Extended School Year (ESY) Summer Services, Summer Driver’s Education and Fee-Based Enrichment Camps.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville

Summer programs at Episcopal School of Jacksonville are all about fun and self-improvement for grades K-12. The classes give students the opportunity to enjoy the subject matter at a relaxed pace, with fewer students and greater teacher attention. The sports and arts camps stress the love of the game and offer something for everyone, whether it be volleyball, swimming, music, dancing or fencing. Activity camps offer a variety of opportunities, include driver’s ed or fishing. Eagle Arts Camp and Coach Mark Brunell Football Camp are two favorite ESJ camps! Jacksonville Country Day School

For over forty years, Jacksonville Country Day School has provided students with a high quality and enriching summer day camp program to enjoy. Campers experience a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, daily pool time, music, games, sports, fun field trips, and more! The camp program is divided into 8 one-week sessions. The campers are placed into cabins according to the grade they will be entering in the fall. The programs are specifically designed for each age group. In addition to our day camp, JCDS is proud to offer a number of quality and exciting specialty camps. TThe offerings include dance, cooking, academic preparation, music, art and computer programming.

Our camp is staffed with trained counselors who allow the campers to be creative and express their individuality, while at the same time providing leadership in a safe, enjoyable environment. Choosing the right summer program for your child is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. First Coast YMCA

The First Coast YMCA is getting ready for the Best. Summer. Ever! with Worlds of Imagination at Super Summer Adventure Day Camp. Children ages 5-15 (varies by location) will travel through time, visit the dinosaurs, blast into the future, and everything in between—all while developing their character in interactive games and activities. We have dozens of locations across the First Coast. A typical week of camp includes: Camper’s Choice & Play during early morning and late afternoon hours, Skills building related to STEM, Art and Humanities, Sports and outdoor recreation play, Participates in Camp Readers Program, Start and end a camp day with a group assembly filled with song, dance and recognition to celebrate the spirit of camp.

At least twice a week, campers participate in our Safety Around Water program which is designed to gain the basics skills of water safety in a group setting, Character development with a focus on our core values: Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. A variety of either onsite special activities & guest speakers or off site field trips. *Vary per week, per camp site.

Jax Surf Camp

Jax Surf Camp hosted by Jax Surf & Paddle is a great way for your little surfer to learn, grow, and have tons of fun this year. Camp is open to any child aged 6-16 who is able to swim. Camps feature a 5:1 student to teacher ratio in calm conditions, additional teachers are brought in during any kind of rough conditions. Ocean safety and your little surfer’s safety is a major focus of our day, keeping your child safe is number one.  We grew up surfing this area and prefer the less crowded and family friendly location. Camp curriculum consists of learning how to surf and improving current surfing skill set. Each camp will feature lessons and demonstrations as well as lots of practice. Lesson Plan: ocean safety, correct stance, pop-ups, proper paddle technique, entering/exiting the ocean, standing up, riding, and falling. Other activities throughout the week might also include paddleboarding, yoga & stretching, relay races, beach sports, races, exercise, and classroom style whiteboard sessions. All skill levels are welcome at our camp. After day one evaluation, campers break out into age/skill appropriate groups to maximize fun and learning curve for student.  If we are familiar with your surfer, we can place them in the appropriate skill level group.  All 5 day camp graduates receive a goody bag and pizza party on Fridays!

MOSH Summer Discovery Camp

MOSH Summer Discovery Camp goers will get to explore science, history, astronomy and more with weekly adventures that are sure to tap into a child’s interests. This summer, campers will go on an epic adventure through our new exhibit, Earth Explorers! They will learn all about how people travel to the most remote places in the world, as well as create their own tools for exploration in this exciting new camp. And, space camps will feature a trip to Kennedy Space Center. More than 25 camp topics will be offered over eight weeks. Under the Sea, Amazing Architects, Storybook Science, School of Magic, Backyard Explorers, Sailing Through the Stars, Extreme Explorers, The Human Body Machine, Engineer It, Jr. Inventors, Pirates Only, Incredible Insects, Race Through Space, Marine Biology, Science of Sports, Operation Space and Movers & Makers are among the offerings. Plus, campers will get to explore the Museum’s traveling exhibit, National Geographic Presents Earth Explorers. Offered primarily for ages kindergarten through 5th grade with select weeks offered for 6th through 8th grade.

CAMP DATES:  June 4 – August 3, 2018 (No camp week of July 4th )

CAMP HOURS: Monday through Friday, from 9 am – 3 pm. Before Care is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and costs $25 per week.After Care: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

CAMP COST: $180 for MOSH Members / $225 for Non-Members. Cost of Extended Care: $10 per child per day. (Some camps are an additional $25 for
additional supplies and/or field trip transportation).

White Oak Conservation

Summer camp at White Oak is an experience your child will never forget! Campers ages 8 – 17 explore White Oak’s conservation breeding center for endangered species for a week-long journey in STEM education, exploration and fun. At White Oak, your child will get up close to amazing species like rhinos, cheetahs, okapi while they learn from leading experts in veterinary care, wildlife conservation and more. Campers also enjoy horseback riding, swimming, hiking, boating and other classic camp adventures! You can rest assured that your child is having fun in a safe, unique environment nestled in north Florida at White Oak’s 16,000-acre private conservation center.

CAMP DATES: Week-long camp sessions will begin the week of June 3rd and end August 3rd. Campers arrive on Sunday afternoon and Depart Friday evening.  There are no camp session the week of July 1st.  All sessions, with corresponding age ranges, can be found via

Cummer Museum of Art

A creative summer starts at Camp Cummer. The mission of the Cummer Museum is to engage and inspire through the arts, gardens, and education. Children will learn, grow, and explore new ways of expressing themselves. Camp Cummer is for children entering grades 1 through 6. Middle school camp is also available.

CAMP DATES: June 11 – 15, June 18 – 22, June 25 – 29, July 9 – 13, July 16 – 20, July 23 – 27

CAMP HOURS: Monday through Friday, from 9 am – 3:30 pm. Extended Extended Care is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and costs $25 per week. PM Extended Care is from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and costs $35 per week.

CAMP COST: Members: $180/child/week; Non-Members: $215/child/week.

Theatre Jacksonville

Theatre Jacksonville’s SUMMER CAMP is gearing up for another fantastic time! Each of our 4-week sessions celebrate the joyful, ridiculous and brilliant imagination of your child. It’s time for them to explore, have fun and make new friends all while discovering the world of live performance. Our experienced artists share their passion for theatre through classes in acting, music, dance, and improvisation. Each session wraps-up with campers putting on a show for you! Unfolding before your eyes is everything our campers have learned. This is a performance written and created just for them.  Also supporting our campers throughout their day are our energetic camp counselors, some of the best and brightest teens from area high schools. We look forward to working with you and your creative child year! Camp ages include 7-14 years of age.

CAMP DATES: Session A: June 4 – 29, Session B: July 10 – August 4. CAMP HOURS:  Monday -Friday 9 a.m. -2 p.m. , Extended Day 2 p.m. -5:30 p.m. at $10 a day.

Every summer The Bolles School plays host to a variety of opportunities that enable children to have fun, learn and grow with their peers. There is so much to love about Bolles Summer Camps! Jacksonville Summer Camps

Camp Encore, presented by the Cathedral Arts Project, offers 6- to 11-year-olds the opportunity to discover new passions and grow their creativity. Campers of all experience levels will enjoy a fun-filled week of one-of-a-kind instruction in dance, music, theatre, and the visual arts, led by qualified teaching artists.

Shepherd of the Woods School

Your child will have fun while enriching, maintaining, or remediating skills in a values-based environment emphasizing social, emotional, and academic learning. We offer a half-day Preschool Summer Camp (for 2 ½ year olds who are potty-trained through 5 year olds) offered either five-days, three-days, or two-days a week from 9am-noon at our Southside Campus. We also offer Summer School for K through 6th graders on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for 4-week or 3-week sessions from 9am-3pm at our Mandarin Campus.

Join Girl Scouts of Gateway Council to make the story of this summer the best yet! Girls in grades K-12 participate in age-appropriate outdoor experiences, plus STEM, confidence-building and leadership development activities. GSGC offers two locations for day camp, weeklong resident camp and “samplers” that provide a shorter overnight camp experience. There’s something for every girl to experience!

Let JAX Cooking Studio teach your child or teen to cook this summer! During our week-long camps, kids practice culinary skills and work in teams to cook the day’s recipes. Diverse themes and concepts of math, chemistry, team-building, world cultures, geography, sustainability, and nutrition are woven into our interactive discussions. This is the kind of summer school every kid will enjoy! Each day, campers get to chow down on the recipes they worked hard to prepare. The week culminates in a nail-biting food challenge with teams competing against each other using their newfound cooking skills and campers leave home with recipes to treat you to a delicous home-cooked meal!

Jacksonville Summer Camps

Come create with us! Doing Dishes Summer Art Camp will get your creative juices flowing for ages 7 and up.. Each session will have a different theme and project. Campers will create at least two great projects a day, project mediums include, pottery painting, canvas and glass fusion.

CAMP DATES: June 19 – July 26. Held Daily Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday classes. CAMP HOURS: 9am – 12pm. CAMP COST: $35/day.

Bittersweet Summer Circus Camp

Join us for a truly unique Summer Camp experience for kids/teens ages 8-17, interested in learning the basic skills of circus and aerial arts. Campers will learn basic moves and transitions in acrobatics, aerial hoop (lyra), silks, and vertical pole (as seen in Cirque De Soleil), while building their strength and flexibility. They will also have the opportunity to develop dance, tumbling skills and to practice some very basic costuming and make-up skills. Each session we will have a special theme we will work with to create our special show and performance. An exciting evening of performances will be hosted at the end of each session; campers will perform their skills for family and friends.

CAMP DATES: Session 1: June 4th-June 15th *Performance Night is June 15th, Session 2: July 9th- July 20th *Performance night is on July 20th

CAMP HOURS:  Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Extended pick up and drop off (8:00am to 5:00pm) are available for an additional fee. Due to the unique nature of our camp, there will be limited spots available to ensure individualized instruction and safety. The camp sessions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and all fees must be paid in full to reserve your spot.

Jacksonville Summer Camps

The Topgolf Kids Summer Academy is five days of non-stop entertainment and learning that kids will love. The program includes all of the components that make up the great game of golf. From chipping, putting and full swing, to the rules and etiquette, kids will learn everything they need to know to improve their game. Each Academy is designed and taught by our Golf Teaching Professionals in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Summer Academy is staffed with a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure each Junior Golfer receives in-depth, hands-on attention while he or she develops a winning golf swing.


Entry to the Academy: 5 half days, Monday – Friday, Topgolf Game Play and Golf Instruction, Lunch, One Summer Academy T-Shirt, One Junior Golf Glove, One Water Bottle, One Cinch Backpack, Additional Topgolf Gift, and a Certificate of Completion.

An easy going approach to fun activities for ages 2 – 10 such as daily morning stretches, karate, gymnastics theater, art and dance! Each week is theme based and the campers get to pick their own theme. Each Friday will be a celebration and a performance by campers!

Christian Laettner Basketball Academy


Christian Laettner is hosting another summer basketball camp at Bishop Snyder High School in Jacksonville, FL. The Duke All-American and 13 year NBA Veteran will bring his Christian Laettner Basketball Academy to Jacksonville for a 4-day basketball camp, which he will lead himself, July 16-19. Coach Laettner will provide a fun, learning environment for the basketball player looking to improve their game, with a focus on skill development, striving to help players improve their ball handling and passing, while increasing their understanding of offensive and defensive concepts. There will be great attention to detail on the core fundamentals of the game.
