Join us for this fun-filled holiday event! Visitors enjoy incredible gingerbread creations built by professionals and amateurs alike. These tasty creations will be on display at the Jacksonville Historical Society’s Old St. Andrews Church, across the street from the Veteran’s Memorial Arena.
The Gingerbread Extravaganza showcases some of the most creative artisans in the city of Jacksonville. Themes this year will encompass Jacksonville’s historic landmarks and the wonderful, whimsical spirit of the holidays. These dedicated builders spend hundreds of hours constructing these edible displays and they are truly a sight to behold! Children can take part in our scavenger hunt for a chance to discover items throughout the displays.
New this year! Tours of the Historic Merrill House next door are included with the price of admission!!!
Joining the Extravaganza each year are the Junior League of Jacksonville Sustainers, who create beautifully themed trees that are showcased throughout Old St. Andrews.
This annual fundraiser supports the Jacksonville Historical Society in its mission to “Educate and inspire the greater Jacksonville community to value its history, by fostering understanding of how the region’s past shapes our present.”
