We are headed to Ed Austin Regional Park for the next stop on our park hop series on Friday, August 4th at 9 am! Located off Monument and McCormick in Arlington, Ed Austin is a 144-acre park offering plenty activities for the whole family! The Park Hop will take place at the fenced in playground towards the back of the park, which is surrounded by beautiful trees that provide much-needed shade. Ed Austin also offers a paved, mostly shaded path, soccer fields, baseball fields, a skate area, basketball court and even an 18 hole disc golf course!
Jacksonville Moms Blog will also host a rock painting station at this park hop! Painting and ‘hiding’ rocks around town is becoming one of the most popular activities of the summer, so bring your creative spirit and spend a few minutes painting rocks with us. You can either keep your masterpiece or spread the love and hide it at a favorite location around town for someone else to find and enjoy. Rocks and painting supplies available to all attendee while supplies last.
Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt at Pablo Creek Plaza will also join us with free yogurt samples! Menchie’s strives to offer something for every guest and prides themselves on using only the highest quality ingredients. Their frozen yogurt is a good source of calcium as it is made with fresh milk from California dairy, and their “smiley” California cows have not been treated with artificial growth hormones.
Bring lots of drinking water, sunscreen, your best rock painting inspiration and a camera to catch some cool pictures of your little ones. Be sure to tag JMB using #jmbparkhop on Facebook and Instagram!
