Jaguars Game Day with the Family

This is the year. This is the year the JAGS take us all the way! Bortles, Lewis, Posluszny, Hurns, and Yeldon–the makings of a PLAYOFF team! {Disclaimer: This post was written prior to the last two games but in no way do I feel this is a false statement}

Jacksonville is beyond lucky to have an NFL team in the city. I am a HUGE fan as you can tell. But I have a secret, last week’s game was the first one I have been to in years. I know, shameful.

Let’s be honest, the idea of maneuvering two kids ages five and under through the crowds and up the stadium does not seem enticing. And what about when the game starts? Will they be bored? Can the littles actually enjoy the game day experience?

Well, the Jacksonville Jaguars have improved the family experience since the last time I was in the stadium. They’ve added quite a few family-friendly attractions that even the slightly above average fan like me didn’t know about.

Tips to a Succesful Jacksonville Jaguars Game Day Experience

  • Get there EARLY! Kids and crowds can be the worst. Get to the stadium early enough to enjoy the fan zone with time leftover to get to your seats. We missed the window before the game started and were pushing through the crowd with two small children.
    • Don’t forget about the clear bag policy. Pick up a cute Daily’s clear tote at the game or your nearest Daily’s gas station.
  • Take advantage of the entertainment! The kids LOVED the Jaguars PRI Productions Fan Entertainment Zone (between gates 1 and 4 and open two hours before the game!). The Fan Zone is where you will get the most bang for your buck. Interactive family games, bounce houses, a 40-yard dash, monkey/bungee jump for kids, face painting, and live music will get the kids pumped!
    • This year be sure to check out the amazing home built by Dream Finders Construction (right next to the Fan Entertainment Zone) that will be donated to a military family!
  • Map out where your seats are and where the closest place to get in the A/C is! We were lucky enough to have US Assure Club passes to cool down a bit–it was a scorcher last week! When everyone gets hot, a good time can turn bad very quickly. The club passes were a way for us to get in the A/C, grab a bite to eat and let the kids run around a bit. If you don’t have club passes, the JAGS have you covered! The stadium now has the State Farm Neighborhood Fan Cave, which is open to everyone! The fan cave is a Fantasy lounge with leather recliners, Xbox games,  AND A/C!
  • GET THE FAMILY PACK!! It’s true, game day can be expensive. And now with dynamic ticket pricing, as the Jags play better throughout the season (and we know they will!) tickets prices will continue to increase. So buy your family pack now!

Taking the little kids can seem stressful but these tips should help you enjoy your #GameDayLive experience. The next home game is October 18 at 1:00 pm. Buy your family pack now to get the best seats!
