Jacksonville’s Kids Free November

After last year’s huge success, Visit Jacksonville and Jacksonville Mom are excited to announce the 2023 return of… Kids Free November! Jacksonville’s Kids Free November is a month-long event involving some of the most popular attractions on the First Coast. Let your kids explore, learn something new and spend some quality family time, even when you are on a budget, in Jacksonville! Many attractions are offering free admission to kids during the month and others are offering free treats or family outings for children. Promotions vary by attraction so be sure to read the fine print and while no coupons are necessary, you may need to mention Free Kids November to take advantage of the deals.

AUTOBAHN INDOOR SPEEDWAY & EVENTS

COMMUNITY FIRST IGLOO

CUMMER MUSEUM OF ART & GARDENS

The Cummer Museum holds one of the finest art collections in the Southeast, with nearly 5,000 objects in its Permanent Collection. The Museum offers world-class art spanning from 2100 B.C. through the 21st century, features diverse special exhibits, and is home to the Wark Collection of Early Meissen Porcelain. Don’t miss the Museum’s 2.5 acres of historically significant gardens that are unique examples of early 20th century garden design, featuring reflecting pools, fountains, arbors, antique ornaments, and sculptures. The majestic Cummer Oak has a canopy of more than 150 feet and is one of the oldest trees in Jacksonville.

DURKEEVILLE HISTORICAL SOCIETY

The main goal and original mission of the Durkeeville Historical Society is collecting and promoting the history of Durkeeville, a historically African American neighborhood in Jacksonville, Florida, and serving as a cultural literacy and resource center for all members of all the communities in Jacksonville. The center includes artifacts, research books, and video history of the Durkeeville neighborhood.

FSCJ ARTIST SERIES

FSCJ Artist Series is a professional presenter of live performing arts specializing in touring Broadway, Concerts, Dance, Opera, Family, Comedy and Variety productions. JACKSONVILLE ICEMEN

The Jacksonville Icemen are a minor league ice hockey team in the ECHL in Jacksonville, Florida, that began play in the 2017–18 season. The team plays its home games at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.

MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART (MOCA)

MUSEUM OF SCIENCE & HISTORY (MOSH)

MOSH features interactive, award-winning exhibitions such as Currents of Time, Atlantic Tails and JEA PowerPlay. The Museum’s most popular exhibits include the health science exhibition, Health in Motion and the Florida Naturalist’s Center, which houses animals native to Northeast Florida. RITZ THEATRE AND MUSEUM

The Ritz Theatre and Museum is the premiere African American arts facility in the historical LaVilla area of downtown Jacksonville. The beautiful facility houses a 400-seat theatre and a museum and gallery which feature a permanent collection and traveling exhibits from around the country.

The Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens is a 120-acre urban woodland full of trails for you to explore and enjoy! This DNN program will include a “Build Your Own Cornucopia” for children with a speaker explaining the importance of an edible garden and what edible plants can be grown and harvested in their own backyard. The cornucopias will be miniature and all of the “harvested” crops/plants will be pre-gathered and displayed for the children to assemble their own cornucopias for Thanksgiving.
