JMB Contributor Family Fun at Wicked Barley Brewing Company

Wicked Barley Brewing Company

Is the first place that you think of for family fun in Jacksonville a brewery? If not, you may want to think again! Wicked Barley Brewing Company, one of Jacksonville’s finest craft breweries, offers not only a great social atmosphere for adults, but kids enjoy it (seriously), too!

Wicked Barley recently invited the Jacksonville Moms Blog contributors and their families to not only try some of their yummy concoctions but to also tour their gorgeous facility. The kids found the tour and beer-making process just as interesting as the parents did — they loved asking questions and smelling the hops.

Not much into beer? One of the aspects that makes this brewery unique is that besides creating their own delicious craft beer in house, they also brew meads and honey wine. Some examples of their unique drinks they offer include a Fire on the Rocks Jalapeño Mojito Mead and an Adults-Only Hard Rootbeer Mead that will have you begging for more! And don’t get us started on Wicked Barley’s edibles — their menu boasts a range of food items including salads, burgers, house-made appetizers, brunch items and delicious dessert pops.

With a beautiful setting available for a back-porch event at the brewery, kids could see mini-crabs on the sand near the dock of the river. The landscape and atmosphere in the brewery’s own backyard made it a perfect spot for our children of all ages to enjoy some lawn games, a walk on the dock, or a swing in the hammocks.

Consider Wicked Barley Brewing Company for your next event or just for a night out with your family! Join Wicked Barley for their upcoming special One-Year Anniversary Party on July 29, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m, featuring drink specials, food specials and live music. You can purchase your tickets for that special event here: Brewery One Year Anniversary.
