Bumps, Babies and Brunch: Bloom Event Recap

Bumps, Babies and Brunch oh my! On Saturday, May 20, Jacksonville Moms Blog hosted 100 guests at the beautiful Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa for an event celebrating pregnancy and motherhood. Our guests mix and mingled with other moms, enjoyed a delicious brunch, a little pampering with a braid bar by Cortello Salon and a mini photo session by 8.08 Photography and of course, photo booth fun! The little ones even enjoyed some downtime in the feeding lounge sponsored by Bay & Bee. They also strolled through a meet and greet with our table sponsors,  receiving introductions to local experts on all things baby and parenting.

Guest Speakers

While guests enjoyed the delicious brunch spread at Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa (Mimosas, Mayport Shrimp & Grits, Eggs Benedict, Carved Prime Rib and more cured the mom-to-be cravings, and there were the cutest mini Key Lime Cheesecakes you ever did see!), our guest speakers gave a brief introduction of services and Q&A. Speakers included Dr. Lauren Cost of Revolution Chiropractic, Jennifer Walker owner of Mumda: Bump, Baby & Beyond, Michelle Baur owner, instructor and Birth Doula of Jax Prenatal, Pediatrician Dr. Kenneth Cohen of Jacksonville Pediatric Associates and Kathy Schummer representing Postpartum Support International. These speakers are some of the best in our community and covered a variety of topics from”Is Chiropractic Safe During Pregnancy” to tips on baby’s first doctor visit and even gave guests a moment of zen with some breathing exercises (hey, all moms need a deep breath every now and then!). Kathy with Postpartum Support International shared her personal experience that was courageous, and also shared a great resource for moms all across the world.
