My New Love – Moving Comfort Sports Bras {Review & Giveaway}

Jacksonville Running Company generously provided me with samples to review, all opinions are my own.

I used to think sports bra shopping was like bathing suit shopping – a torturous day out where you come home frustrated and with something that you don’t necessarily love but that will have to suffice. Nothing ever felt like it would hold me in place during a run or workout. By the end of my shopping trip I would find myself buying two to wear together to ensure nothing moved, and to be honest I just thought that’s the way it had to be. Until I did my research.

Thanks to fellow Fitness Contributor Mary Lauren Eubank’s blog on the importance of wearing the proper sports bra, I have tried to pay more attention to what kind of support I was getting and I realized my two sports bra theory really wasn’t giving me the support I needed. On a recent trip to Lululemon Jacksonville, I finally broke down and purchased a high-quality sports bra. It made a world of difference in my workouts and running. Things felt supported and stayed in place much more than they had been. I was excited to learn I didn’t have to wear two sports bras every time I worked out. I just had to find the right one. So you can imagine my excitement when Jacksonville Running Company approached me to do a review of a few of their Moving Comfort sports bras. Here’s what I discovered:

Moving Comfort Fiona

Moving Comfort- FionaMoving Comfort’s #1 selling sports bra, the Fiona is classified as high-impact with adjustable straps and a custom fit. The sports bra also boasts seam free interior molded cups for supports and shape and an adjustable back closure for easy on/off and custom-fit adjustability.

My Take – I was given this sports bra in black and I loved how sleek it looked. There was nothing overly fancy about the design but it made me feel bad A. The one thing I instantly noticed was the adjustable straps. Sports bras and bras in general usually fit me in the cup and then are too big in the back and shoulders so the fact that I could adjust the shoulder straps was a huge deal.

It is worth mentioning that there are no support cups inside so if your cup size is on the larger side this sports bra might not offer the support you’re looking for. Fiona is also extremely lightweight and moisture wicking so you don’t have to worry about a heavy and hot sports bra during your workout.

Recommended Uses:
• Running
• Gym
• Cycling

Moving Comfort Jubralee

Moving Comfort- JubraleeThis one is a “staff pick” on the Moving Comfort website but was my least favorite of the three that I tried. Jubralee offers a seam-free interior molded cups for support and shape, subtle contour cups that give shape and maximum moisture transfer, hidden side and under bust support, adjustable back closure, an interior front yolk to whisk away sweat and an open back.

My Take – Very similar to the Fiona, the Jubralee is flattering, lightweight and offers those awesome adjustable straps. My only draw back was the open back. For some this lack of fabric may seem like a breath of fresh air but to me it felt like I was missing a huge piece of support. I will admit that it did feel more freeing as I walked around so it might just be something I’d have to get used to.

My Jubralee sample was also was a tad too small even though I got it in the same size as the others. After doing a little research I discovered this one runs small so shop accordingly.

• Running
• Walking
• Gym
• Cycling

Moving Comfort Juno

Moving Comfort- JunoRemember that support that was lacking in the Fiona? You can find it here in the Juno. Described as “gravity-defying, super-supportive,” the Juno offers extreme support without compromising function. Just like the Fiona and Jubralee, the Juno offers a seam-free interior molded cups for support, shaped front adjustable straps as well as new features like front and back mesh zones to keep you cool and bonded material for less bulk.

My Take – Winner of the Women’s Health Fitness Award, the Juno was by far my favorite of the three. That’s due in part to it’s “super-supportive” qualities. I actually felt like I was wearing a regular bra but that was way more snug and supportive. The Juno is definitely more cumbersome than the Fiona and Jubralee but doesn’t feel like it will get in the way of your workout.

I do have to admit though, it was a little harder to get on than the other two and while it is still very stylish, it does look the most like a “big old lady bra,” but not enough to deter you from buying it. The Juno is definitely recommended for a C cup or higher and for pregnant and nursing moms.

Recommended Uses:
• Running
• Gym
• Cycling
• Warm weather workouts

I NEED THIS! These bras are amazing support for nursing moms! PLUS they have Velcro straps in front that make it easier to nurse in a sports bra, which is close to impossible.
