JMB Summer Park Hop :: Jack Russell Park {Smith Family Fundraiser}


Join us on Thursday, August 13th from 9-11am at Jack Russell Park in Atlantic Beach for our final Park Hop of the summer.

We’re finishing off our summer Park Hop series with our biggest Park Hop ever. Come out to Jack Russell Park for a final summer send off. This event will be a fundraiser to help support the Smith Family. We are asking you to bring a cash donation to the Park Hop and Jacksonville Moms Blog will match the donations from the day, up to $500. The Smith Family has been battling cancer since their son Liam, now 5 years old, was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2013. It has been a very tough road for the family as they continue to fight Liam’s battle with cancer and on June 30th they were hit with the unthinkable. Their daughter, Emma who is 2, has also been diagnosed with Leukemia. 


Backyard Pops will be there with cool treats available for purchase and the first 50 kids to attend the Park Hop will get a free fruit cup from Del Monte. We are also excited to welcome Fun Faces, with free face painting for the kids, The Art Garage, Sea Turtle Early Learning Center at Seaside CharterJamberry Nails, and Fishman Pediatric Dentistry will have goodie bags to give out. Pump It Up will be joining us with an interactive inflatable as well as Sponge Bob and Olaf. Nordstrom has generously donated 50 swag bags for the first 50 people to donate to the Smith Family fundraiser (suggested minimum $5 donation).

Sea Turtle Early Learning Center at Seaside Charter‘s early childhood program is built around a comforting daily, weekly and yearly rhythm that nourishes the whole child.  Natural materials and simple toys provide our students with ample opportunities  for developing their imagination. The full-day 8:30am to 3:00pm preschool offers classes for preschool age children up to 6 year-olds, including Voluntary Preschool (VPK) for 4-year-olds who are 4 by September 1, 2015.  The programs are child-centered and inspired by public Waldorf principles.  Our credentialed teachers receive training in developmentally and culturally appropriate practices, including early childhood training at Steiner College.
