JMB Summer Park Hop: Boone Park

Join us in Avondale at beautiful Boone Park on Wednesday, July 19 from 9-11am for the next stop on our Park Hop series! Spanning seven blocks and covered in beautiful historic trees, Boone Park offers plenty of room to play. Our Park Hop will be held at the playground off of St. Johns Avenue at Van Wert Street, and we have so many wonderful partners joining us!

Creative Grain Studio will be offering a free craft for the kids featuring animals, perfect for an outdoor park hop! Located in San Marco, Creative Grain Studio is owned and operated by a mother-daughter duo, created to provide Jacksonville with a comfortable, creative space away from home to get crafty with their favorite people. With workshops for girls’ nights out, couples night, mom + me, private workshops and more Creative Grain is the place to get the creative juices flowing!

One of Jacksonville’s newest pop shops, Hit Pops, will be on site with their delicious, handmade ice pops! Made from simple, fresh ingredients with no preservatives or additives, their pops come in a variety of flavors from fruity to spicy to suit all taste buds. Each pop’s name is a unique play on a popular music artist or song. Who doesn’t love a “pun-ny” dessert that you don’t have to feel guilty about indulging in?

The Ginger Breadwoman will also join us with a few samples and fresh homemade from scratch goodies to purchase and take home! The Ginger Breadwoman is a home baker who uses traditional recipes and tried-and-true methods to bring you artisan breads, specialty pies, custom event cakes, and treats for any occasion.  All goods are from scratch in small batches, with no additives, and only fresh, simple ingredients. Visit www.thegingerbreadwoman.com to take part in the comfort of freshly baked bread delivered right to your doorstep.

A Jacksonville institution, Carithers Pediatric Group, will be on site to meet families during this park hop. Carithers Pediatrics thrives on taking care of babies, teens and every child in between. They know that each age and stage brings with it some special challenges, and as parents themselves, they know how personal those challenges can be. Stop by to learn more about their unique team-based approach and services!

Bring lots of drinking water, sunscreen,  and a camera to catch some cool pictures of your little ones. Be sure to tag JMB using #jmbparkhop on Facebook and Instagram!
