We are so excited about our 2nd Annual Pumpkin Playdate, which will take place on October 21 from 3-7pm! Shepherd of the Woods Lutheran Church is the perfect location with acres of picturesque space, a children’s maze, hayrides around a beautiful lake and of course, pumpkins of all shapes and sizes!

Photo Shoot With Amanda Dennette Photography

This charming pumpkin patch is an ideal location for a Fall-inspired photo shoot with one of Jacksonville’s premier family photographers. Amanda Dennette Photography will offer mini photo sessions during this event. Photography tickets will be sold for $15 each, securing you a time slot between 3-6:30 pm. These are quick sessions, and you will receive one digital image via email. There are only 30 spaces available, and we sold out quickly last year! Sign-up for a time slot here.

ReadingBrightStart.org is a free online reading resource, brought to you by Nemours Children’s Health System. ReadingBrightStart.org is designed to help every child reach her full reading potential, and BrightStart! associates will be on-site to share tips and resources to help your child grow into a successful reader.

Gymboree Play & Music is a hands-on learning environment that helps build creativity and confidence in your child through play. Gymboree offers Play & Learn, Art and Music classes, and they will be doing a unique Halloween craft at this playdate.

Whole Foods Market is a unique store dedicated to bringing you healthy, high-quality food and products at a value conscious price. The Jacksonville location offers so many fun children’s activities, including music classes and craft time. Whole Foods Market is excited to provide healthy snacks for this event.

Yourself Expression is all about expressing yourself and letting your style shine through. Founded by a local teen, Shelby, in 2013, this unique jewelry line features 2000 items for interchangeable accessories, letting you create what you love to wear.

Teagan’s Tutus is a local company that creates adorable, handcrafted tutus for every occasion! They also specialize in hosting princess themed tea parties, and we are so excited that one of their very special princesses will be at the JMB Pumpkin Playdate!

Amazing Face Painting by Linda is a talented face painting artist who adds flair to birthday parties and other special events. Linda also specializes in prenatal belly painting and henna art.

Renaissance Youth  LLC  is the parent company of Next Generation Athletics, Engineering for Kids and Soccer Shots for the Northeast Florida region. They provide programs for children and youth in archery, science and engineering, soccer and more. They are excited to have fun at our playdate with a soccer shootout activity and straw rocket craft for aspiring engineers!

Jessica Stewart
Jessica is a North Carolina girl, who after living in New York City for eight years, is loving being back in the south since moving to Jacksonville in 2008. She is a stay at home mom to Linda Claire (3) and Liam (2). Prior to filling her days with parks and play doh, Jessica worked in event planning and marketing for financial and media companies, including This Old House. A graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, she is a passionate Tarheel fan, and college basketball season is her favorite time of year. Jessica spends her free time on the tennis court, training for races with her running buddies, or drinking wine her husband, Trevor. Her favorite things include snuggling with her sweet dog at the end of the day, hearing her kids laugh together, and pink cupcakes with sprinkles.

  1. We love harvest time. Has anyone noticed if pumpkin prices are higher this year. The hotter than average weather is reportedly ripening pumpkins ahead of schedule out west, and the heavy rain in the midwest is rotting pumpkins on the vine…

    Regardless, yea for pumpkin time!!!!
