Jacksonville Moms Blog is proud to partner with Shipt to offer parents information about grocery delivery in Jacksonville.
Grocery shopping is a necessary evil. You know the drill. Buy food, eat food, dread shopping for more food and repeat. How many times have you declined an invitation to do something because you had to shop? The cycle of discontent has continued through the ages until now. Shipt is changing everything.
Like all successful business ideas, it is simple and genius. People need groceries. Shipt shops and delivers them for you. Moms, imagine the possibilities!! No more driving to the store in the pouring rain with your wild brood in tow and no more dragging sick kids to the store. Long day at work, then the kids have soccer practice, and there’s no time to get the groceries you should have bought yesterday. With Shipt, you don’t have to go to the store after all! It is really that simple!
Purchase your membership online. Membership entitles you to free shopping (for orders of $35), and it can be purchased annually (the best value) or monthly. Both options allow a two week free trial and cancelation at any time. Shipt Jacksonville is currently partnering with neighborhood Publix stores. Enter your zip code and the site will tell you if Shipt is available in your area. Once you are signed up, download the app.
The App
Shopping is done through the app and Shipt has thought of everything. To create your list, simply search by category from deli and snacks to paleo and international. There’s even an “On Sale” category that includes Publix’s signature BOGO’s. Select what you want. Select what you need. Add to the cart and voila. The App saves shopping lists, so you never have to search for the same item twice. Prices are a hair higher than what you pay when you shop for yourself but reasonable considering the convenience. If you don’t find something that you must have, add it as a special item although you have to pay a little more. Select delivery time window (same day delivery even as soon as one hour!) and submit. A friendly Shipt Shopper will claim your job, and you’ll see a picture of who to expect when they start shopping, etc…
Trade Secrets
There are helpful tools like the “Add a Note” to help clarify any details that might be helpful to your Shipt shopper. For example, when I add bagged salad to my cart, I include a note asking them to check the expiration date. Under delivery instructions, it is helpful to request they text you and clarify your shopping bag preference. I’ve found the more you can tell them about the desired product the better and the more satisfied you will be. Tipping your shopper is available on the app after the delivery is complete. All the Shipt shoppers are friendly and helpful. Publix will happily accept the return just in case.
Shipt is a game changer. Enjoy the freedom and flexibility Shipt offers when you can’t or don’t feel like going to the store.

this is a great service concept. My only concern would be, how do I use coupons with these purchases? How about the publix digital coupons?
You can’t use paper coupons but you can take advantage of the bogos and online sales!
