We have classes for two, three and four year olds. Children must be two, three, or four by September 1 to be enrolled in these classes. We also have a Mothers Morning Out class for toddler’s age one year old and walking. Our hours are 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. For added convenience we have early morning available from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and extended day from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Contact the Preschool office at (904) 733-2027 for an enrollment packet or additional information. Early Childhood – Kindergarten: The Playgarden is located just blocks from the beach, is a perfect place for children (preschooler to kindergarteners) to explore, grow and create. We focus on the whole child: head, heart, and hands. Our literacy-rich curriculum includes play, music, poetry, movement, bread-baking, gardening, painting, and frequent walks to the beach.

Coastal Early Learning Academy is your locally-owned and operated neighborhood preschool offering affordable, quality education for young learners. We provide care for infants (6 weeks) to PreK. Little Dancing Stars, your mobile dance company started in 2001. We offer children 3 to 6 years of age basic beginning Ballet and Tap instruction. Your child can participate in a dance recital at the end of the dance season. Classes start the first week of September and run through end of May, with the dance recital being held usually the first Saturday of June.

Our Jacksonville Childcare And Preschool Learning Center Programs Are The Best
Located in Jacksonville’s Southside, our childcare programs incorporate creative play, song and dance, planned activities, arts and crafts, and daily outside play activities. We provide childcare for children ages six weeks through five years old.
Our Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program is available to children age four with a birthday on-or-before September 1st of each school year. Our Jacksonville Summer VPK program is for children age 4 with a birthday after September 1st. Children ages five and seven love our Summer Camp.

Founder, Martin Freeman, is a former law enforcement officer and is a father of 5. He recalls hearing the concerns of many coworkers, friends, and associates regarding the lack of childcare during their demanding unconventional work schedules. A probationary officer, who at the time had recently graduated from the Academy was placed on the midnight shift. She couldn’t find adequate childcare for her hours of work and also suffered from postpartum depression to the point that she attempted suicide. After Martin and his team rescued her, he was determined never to let this happen to another person. Martin’s endeavor to help ensure that no other parent face this type of situation was developed. His passion to provide a quality 7 days a week childcare, which would provide childcare during traditional and or non-traditional work hours for first Responders and all working parents was created.

Nicole Zauke is an Orton Gillingham-trained Community Educator. She has 15 years of experience as an elementary inclusion classroom teacher. She has a B.A. in Psychology and a Master’s degree in School Counseling. Nicole holds a Reading and Literacy Specialist graduate certificate. She is a Florida licensed educator for K-6 with Reading and ESOL endorsements and a Florida licensed school counselor for K-12. Episcopal Children’s Services offers the Early Head Start and Head Start Programs. Early Head Start is for pregnant mothers and children birth to 3. Head Start is for children ages 3 to 5. The programs are free for children of families with low incomes. It provides early learning in home-based or center-based settings. The program focuses on strengthening children’s readiness for school by increasing parental knowledge of children’s growth and development. The program provides inclusive services in the areas of health, mental health, disabilities, and parent and community engagement. All children within the program are screened for developmental progress, health, dental, vision, and hearing.
